...That is entirely too much. I do not need that, and I enjoyed getting the gift for you. I spent a lot of money on everyone.

And even so, Addie -- A picture frame and a bottle of wine? And then you go out and get me a Fender and a capo and a slider and picks and everything else? .. Unfair trade. Please, take the vacation and have fun with your boys.

But I did not really want anything at all... Can you go with your girlfriend?

I know you didn't. But I did it anyway.

I could, technically. But we're in Paris right now, and she only got two weeks off from her job. All of which is filled with things she has to do, and people she has to see.

I'm afraid you're going to have to take the trip.

Consider it an early birthday present or belated/extended Christmas present.

But next time do not worry about how much I spend on Christmas. If I use all my money, it is my own fault, and I can always make more.
